Bank Vole

Myodes glareolus

The bank vole is a reddish-brown rodent that lives mainly in forest areas. It is very common in Europe, and its distribution encompasses almost the whole continent, reaching up to Siberia and Lake Baikal. The bank vole is primarily an herbivore.

Conservation status

LC stands for “least concern.” The species is well-known, and the population is abundant or stable.
